2009 TCH Navigation System

The car was sold without a Navigation system, but is satellite radio ready (SAT button on head unit). The car has what appears to be a factory installed antenna located on the center top of the dashboard (above the clock). In researching this antenna, I noticed the FSM indicates the antenna is a GPS antenna. Does anyone have experience or knowledge that can confirm the presence of the GPS antenna indicates the TCH would also be navigation system ready?

Thank you.

What'd you figure out? Could you post a picture of the so-called antenna? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

What I thought was the gps antenna (mounted in front of the clock) is the photo sensor for the auto headlights, I believe. The gps antenna is mounted under the dash and cannot be seen unless you take out the Nav system.

I just received the factory Nav system today (E7011: P/N: 86120-06460 and it looks like it's in excellent condition). I ordered the wiring harnesses from a Canadian Toyota dealer and should get them next week. I got the gps antenna and Nav disk on ebay. I still need the AUX jack, and if I cannot find one at a local pick-your-part, I'll need to purchase from the stealer ($100 ouch).

I'm planning to install next weekend. I'll take pictures.

If it goes off without a hitch, I'll add an XM receiver and Lockpicks (so I can program GPS while moving).

What you mistook for an antenna is indeed the light sensor for the dashboard lights.
