USA diy alarm kill switch

Hi everyone,

I would like to install a kill switch. Can you please tell me where the fuel pump wire is?

Thank you.

Probably the fastest, best way to get that info is to purchase a two-day subscription for $15 to Toyota's Technical Information System, which will have all the diagrams, etc., as you'd find in the factory service manual. Given the overall cost of an alarm system the added expense is negligible.

looks as usual - right under the rear seat.
why pump? best kill switches are ones that disable entire electrical supply. of course, with it being Hybrid, who knows.
careful messing with anything electric on this car. and, honestly, i do not think someone will try to steal them. not that much of a popular item.

Parts cost may make them a more popular target - as the cars age, various hybrid-specific components start failing out of warranty or with collisions, the used parts "gray" market is likely to grow. Toyota's packaging of the big $$$ components is a contributor - e.g. the inverter in the LF corner, where even a moderate hit will take it out.

And actually, a fuel pump is a decent choice - esp. if coupled with a delay of a couple minutes. In a carjack situation, the perp gets far enough away to be less of a risk to the legit driver.
