Brake pad & rotor replacement

Anyone have recommendations for pad/rotor replacement beside gen Toyota relacement parts? Auto Zone which sells Duralast, Napa, Etc.

1. if you keep rotors, do not do ceramic pads, their rotors don't like it and rub/squeal.
2. if you replace rotors, REPLACE WITH SLOTTED ROTORS. not drilled, not drilled/slotted, slotted only. you can do diamond slot or straight slot. thank me later.

DO ROTORS BREAK IN PROCEDURE IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALLATION.

Thank you for the advice. Auto Zone will know what slotted rotors are? When I asked them for pricing they gave me one price and didn't indicate there was a choice in rotors. Appreciate your help.

1. I order mine online, from performanceparts. they are a bit pricy, but do not warp and serve long time. also, breaking power is improved.

2. Autozone is ok, NAPA is better, but a bit pricier. everyone nowadays has price match anyway, even for online sales.

3. if you go for slotted rotors, go for ceramic pads, as they are more durable and will not shag black dust all over rims. clean rotors with brake cleaner regularly.
