First Road Trip - '10 TCH

Wife's car w/20k miles on it so when an out-of-state wedding presented itself, I said, "I'll go!"

Twin Cities, MN to Billings, MT and then to Missoula, back to Miles City, MT and home to the Cities. High speed really does kill mpg:

2010 Camry Hybrid, EPA 34 MPG combined, 3 adults, luggage etc.
Total Miles - 2385.8 (95% Freeway @ avg 72 MPH)
Gallons - 70.1
Fuel Cost - $264.13
Avg MPG - 34.03
Worst MPG - 31.84 Arden Hills, MN to Bismark, ND
Best MPG - 35.7 Clinton, MT to Miles City, MT

Anyone notice the TCH speedometer is significantly fast? I compared the MPH readout from a portable Garmin 660 GPS and found both our '07 TCH and '10 TCH read about 3-4 MPH fast.

My '91 Mazda pickup and '92 Toyota Camry I4 were dead on.

I set the cruise control around 78 MPH during our run through North Dakota and Montana. Hit a moderate hill and the cruise control really "guns" the throttle.
