Perhaps I should have said earlier, the 'original Prius'. I called Toyota Customer Service to get some Camry Hybrid brochures. I asked, and the person that answered said, the original Prius version for 2012 will have restyled headlights and tail lights.
With toyota completely rebuilding the 2012 Camry, including the hybrid, my guess they may do the same for the 2013 Prius.
I would like to see the plug-in next Spring as it's suppose to get extreme mpg numbers. Auto magazine driver test have seen from 75 to as high as 90 mpg. I read it has extra lithium-ion batteries that can run it in the EV mode for '13 miles'. It can also go 60 mph in the EV mode alone, but my guess the range would be lots less.
I don't know if this new plug-in version is a modified original Prius and is somewhat restyled for improved looks and aerodynamics. I saw cost after the tax credit may be around $30K or was it $31,000. That's lots to pay for a high mpg ride.
Like I said earlier, I really like this new lower priced LE Hybrid for 2012. Hopefully we will see them at the dealers in mid October. Toyota plans on putting on many TV advertisements also during October and hopefully for the hybrid version. I may have posted some of these ads a month ago from YouTube. I'm getting old and can't remember. lol
Anyway, these are my current favorites...
