Coolant reservoir for engine is nearly empty!

My 2008 TCH has the coolant reservoir for engine nearly empty. Is this supposed to be full?
It is Item #11 in the image.

I think mine has a minimum and maximum line on it.

I ran into the same issue 2 years ago (2007 model). Checked it randomly, and it was near bottom. It turned out that my water pump was leaking (only 20k miles) and was replaced under warranty. Check for pinkish powder around the area of your belts. If you see that, then you need a new water pump. For now, make sure you top it off with some new coolant and/or distilled water.

Today I filled in the coolant reservoir. Accidentally overfilled it and used a fine tube to drain it to the 'F' level.
I will be checking back upon this level in the near future to figure out if there is anything wrong with the coolant pump.
There are no pink powdery marks in the pulleys area.

not gonna get any on pulleys. they toss coolant droplets all over the engine when they spin.

pending how many miles you have left to reach 60 000 warranty mark, you might be taking chances with "wait and observe" approach.

look up my posts, back in time I posted a few pics of what it looks like. Maybe it's not pump. many other reasons are plausible. But level should stay as is.

My TCH is at 101000 miles. Checked the coolant level after 130 miles and ditto - no movement at all. Will continue monitoring it.

Water pump on our '07 TCH failed @ 20k miles. Replaced under warranty by dealer.

Our '10 TCH is just over 20k miles and so far, so good.
