2012 dealer availability date

Anyone have a handle on when the 2012 hybrids will start showing up on dealer lots? My son's POS Civic Hybrid has died and they're very interested in the Camry Hybrid. I'm very interested as well since they are using our second car until they come up with something to replace the Civic.

I read it was the month of November when the toyota dealer lots should have at least one Camry Hybrid on it. I remember the Toyota media blitz for the 2012 TCH was for all of November. From what I have seen they started the TV advertising the new TCH around mid October.

I'm also very interested in a test drive and very possible purchase soon of the LE or XLE model. Looks like this will be a great car at the new lower price. The dealers may want near sticker price till March, April 2012.

My dealer said production date of 11/7/11 for the LE version, which would arrive at dealerships late November or early December. The XLE version will arrive earlier...some are slated to have one by end of this month.

Thanks for the information. I might have thought that since the Camry Hybrid has been available to the press since at least September, Toyota would have made sure that dealers had access to them earlier than November.
We're interested in a Highlander Hybrid for ourselves and there appear to be only 2 in the entire Chicago area. Either dealers aren't ordering them or Toyota is doling them out very slowly or maybe both.
