Extended warranty?

Is the extended warranty for eight years 125,000 miles that goes for over $1,700 worth it on the THC and if not, can it be cancelled?

I bought mine for about that. I don't usually go for the extended warranty stuff; however, this is my first hybrid and it has so many buzzers and bells that I wanted the extra coverage particularly as I intend to keep this car. To me, it was a small price to pay in that sixth and seventh year for peace of mind.

that is worth it, considering that you have 2 most common issues with the camry;

1. Water pump (~60k) -- $400-$600
2. Brake Accumulator - (100+k) $1,800-$2500

that warranty is really cheap, is that from Lexus/Toyota?

Check with Jerry from Midwest Toyota, he sells warranties really cheap compared to most. You can find his info and email on this forum somewhere...

I've used mine on the water pump, paid nothing (0 deductible) and it includes the rental for a day.

Yes it can be cancelled. Call Jerry Johnson at the Midwest Superstore, I wouldn't be surprised if he could cut that cost in half.

I bought it from Jerry! $1149 for 8 years, 100K miles. It's actually an added 5 years to my existing 3 years currently in place.
Much better than the $1600 that my selling dealer quoted me at the time of purchase...
