Hybrid Gearbox??

So what i want to do is get the GT4 gearbox that i own, turn it to 2wd and put a lsd in it from a SW20 turbo and put it in my camry but the transfer case is big?
Anyway, how hard? how much$? worth it?

Or should i get a non turbo 2wd celica gearbox from whatever model suits and put the lsd from the sw20 in there?

Or should i sell the GT4 box and buy a SW20Turbo box with the LSD and modify the shifter placement to suit the camry. looked for a write up, cant find one.

Looking for a reliable option (0bviously the SW20?) but would rather not go to the trouble of selling / buying a new gearbox.

Good luck getting that tranny to work correctly for FWD applications.

From what I understand Celicas use the same tranny as Camrys. However they have different gear ratios.

You could use a E153 from a V6 Camry/Solara. Same tranny as the one in a MR2 Turbo, but with different gear ratios and its setup for FWD (don't have to modify the shift linkage).

E153 from a Camry/Solara don't come with a LSD, but you can get a aftermarket one (Kaaz, Cusco, Quaife).
