Rad Coolant Overflow, make a cool one?

As long as its the same "basic" design will that work? I always thought the fitting should be on the bottom of the container, but either way, stock one is ugly, something to do, etc, so what do you think, easily done?

do those 2 fittiongs on the side need to be there? Edit = Ig uess thats to check fluid level?

that is a oil catch can i dont know if the tube will hold up to the heat of the water. but i have also thought about something like that. becouse after some time the stock one brakes and nobody wants to put that ugly thing back in

Yeah, a catchcan would work, but you need one that can more than a quart though.

Or you can always fabricate one yourself out of sheet aluminum. I didn't make an overflow tank, but I did make a reservoir for my water injection system on my other car:
