Gen5 Do i really need this?

Ok i went over a speed bump backwards a bit to fast and broke a underbody panel on my car. It covers the Radiator and other engine components. Its made of plastic and the bolts/screws that held it on are gone. It hangs down and drags on the ground.

Do you think i can remove it? Or should i keep it there, does it protect something?

its to help direct airflow. keep it if you can, it improves stability, aids cooling and also provides a small gain in mileage over not having one.

Yea a few hours ago i bought some GM Panel poppers that are 1/2" diameter, and used those to plug the holes so that way it stays up now.
