Cold Air Bypass Valve

im just wondering what you guys think about the cold air bypass valve.
performance wise.

*just dont go on like the other forums, bitching about how it costs so much for something that just might prevent hydrolock*

useless

you're not going to hydrolock your engine unless you drive through a puddle that's as high as your bumper

splashing water will not hydrolock your car, no matter how much...regardless of what kind of intake you have, you're going to have problems if you drive through a puddle that deep, or get a splash that's got such volume of water that it drowns your engine bay

Heh? Whats a cold air bypass valve? Must be a new street racer slang term.

I know about idle air bypass valves for fast idle when cold.

Is it a colds air intake of somee type like another user said?

Oh it's an intake liquid check valve. A restriction to your intake just incase you decide to drive trhough 3 ft deep water puddles. SHould reeeely help performance.
