Hi, I have just been quoted for a steering rack n pinion replacement from a dealership. Surprisely, it is only slightly more then other shops. My car wanders mad on crappy roads!! So if the rack n pinion doesn't fix this, i'm going to replace my struts and springs with coilovers.
your car wandres becuase your suspension is following the road..if it curves, yoru car follows it...tehres a reason there sa steeringwheel on your car.. and thats for you to control your car.
dont waste your money on coil overs, youre NEVER going to use them to their fullest. get a set of tokiko blues ahd some custom wound springs... 1/2 hte cost.
google if you dont know what a pillowball mount is. were not here to do your research.

actually, you dont get what i mean by wander then. it means even with both hands on the steering wheel a bump on the road or a pot hole, will yank the car to one side. at the same time, the steering wheel only moved slighty, while the car wanders quite a bit

haha i have been driving that for the past 2 mths haha.. now is just getting out of hand...
but yeah you probably are right, coilover is overkill.
But jsut can't seem to find a good price for Tokico blues + HR/Eibach.

I have tokico's and eibach and, if i had to do it over (and had known about the D2's and K-Sports beforehand) i would get the coilovers. Not because the tokico's and eibach are bad, but because there is more flexibility on the coilovers.

yup...sounds like your rack and pinion's going....
and coilovers
if you're here in canada, you'll end up paying at least 2/3 of hte cost of the d2coilovers if you were to get eibachs and tokicos, so you may as well...plus then you can slam the car in summer, and raise it back to stockish height for winter....now THAT would be handy...

you will get coil overs, then turn the dapening ALL TEH WAY DOWN and realise its still stiffer then tokiko blues, then cry.
also adjusting height on them its probbaly quicker with normal sets of springs and a rattel gun
if you get coil overs and dont frequent multiple different race tracks, youll never be re adjusting them ever again.

with 3kg/mm springs, sporty. with 4kg/mm or more, racey, 9kg/mm or more, awesome control you have the road in your hands.
