how to correct the needle on the speed doma?

i was painting the needle on the speed doma and the rpm i had to take those needle off in order to paint them but when i put them back in i think there off cuz when i'm driving, it says 70 mile per hour but it feels like i am going 60 mile per hour and i know the rpm is off for sure because the car reg. shift at 2 and a half but now its reading at 3 when it shifts.


Can anyone help me re-ajust this promblem..

I assume at rest the speedo needle is @ zero? If not, it is just a press fit on the guage
Push it gently down to get it back to zero - Same for the tacho

Well, hat's how it is in my 91 Gen2

the speedo dosnt real start moving till around 10 mph. what i did was put the car in drive and let it idel then i set it at zero. i'm only off by maybe 3 mph. as far as the tach you should have let the motor worm up and rememberd the rpm it idels at. then you put it on at the point.

check with the car next to you or ask a friend to go right beside you.
