4th Generation Tein S Tech Springs on a V6?

I have a 1999 Camry LE V6. I want to get the Tein S Tech Springs but it says it is for 4 Cylinders. Is there a difference between the two and will they fit on my camry? Or do I have to get different springs? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

This is what I want to buy.

eibachs are a safe choice. no surprises and good quality for the price. eibachs are the same as trd's too. save some $$$ and get the eibachs on ebay for <$200US.

I don't want eibachs cause they have the same amount of drop in the back as the front. I want Tein S Tech Springs cause they have a bigger srop in the front offering a more aggresive stance, which is what I'm trying to achieve. I'm thinking that the engine in a Camry shouldn't be a factor with upgrading the suspension. Can someone please clarify?

As a matter of fact, the engine does matter...

A V6 engine is heavier than a 4-cyl. engine... Because of this, the dropping will be more than if you were actually lowering the 4-cyl. engine..

Another thing that could happen is that those springs are designed to hold the weight of the 4-cyl. engine, not the V6... You could have some trouble in the future..

I have H&R Springs in my 1998 V6 Camry.. I would explore that option too...

I think the springs are the same for both V6 and I4 models (only for Gen4). If you want a bigger drop in front with an aggressive stance I would recommend the H&R sports, its what I have now and it gave my car a noticable rake look.

^ what he said

for the gen4 camrys, I think the 4banger and the v6 springs have the same part number so I presume that they are the same springs

otherwise, like with the gen3 springs, the i4 springs are physically shorter than the v6 springs- I know, I had the 6cyl springs (eibach), and then swapped to the 4banger springs in the front later to get a lower drop (also eibach)

with more of a drop on the front, wouldnt that be bad for weight transfer/balance? More weight on the front tires=understeer. Might look nice, but aint cool when you have a hard time turning.

^ not really, since the lower drop in the front is really actually hardly noticeable- I doubt the difference would be more than a 5% weight difference in distribution

and actually, more weight on the front of a front wheel drive car isn't really a bad thing with good tires.....our cars tend to understeer anyway and it's rather expected

plus I don't know if the "lower" in the front is really even lower, since the front always seems higher than the rear anyway

So what would happen if I put these on my car? Would it be worth it? Better performance or worse? Should I get new shocks too?

^ yes, that's a pretty good price, and yes they will fit ony our car, and yes they will improve your performance

and also, yes, if you have the money now, you should get new struts as well at the same time and save your self the hassle of having to do the installation all over again later on to just change the struts
