Hi All,

just a quick question, so will it change my speedo reading if i change to a 17" or 18" wheels?

Well, you've got to get smaller profile tires, dude... you should've searched up on this. Its been covered a lot. You need to keep your overall wheel size as close to stock as possible... meaning if the rim size is bigger, you need smaller tires. For example, my car came stock with 15" steelies with 205/65R15 tires... when I changed them, I got 17" wheels with 215/50R17 tires. The overall size difference is 0.12% which is almost nothing, so my speedo didn't change.

i was wondering, would Toyota recalibrate the speedo when the car comes with bigger rims as standard?

for example, the Camry comes with both 15" and 16" rims here.
205/65R15 and 205/60R16 respectively.

so i have 16" rims stock, but is my speedo calibrated to the 15" rims?
even if i was, its only 0.8% faster apparently...

even so, how much % of error do you reckon is allowable?
