Help...Gas needle not working

Hello,

I have a 1998 toyota camry and recently like 2 months ago the gas needle stopped working. Whats wrong? Can anyone help? email me at maniac0786@tmail.com for comments and answers.Thanks

If you don't want to go to the expense of replacing the sender unit there is an alternative. Figure that a full tank is going to give you at least 300 miles. Every time that you fill up you zero out your trip meter. When you get near 300 miles fill up and zero out again...

Not very elegant, but it works.

thats what i did on my old corolla for years. i never ran out of gas in that car and the guage never worked during my ownership.

I have the check engine sign I'm car also...I got it checked and it said evap vent solonoid probelm...can that have something due to the non working gas needle??
