4th Generation Short Ram For v6 G4 Camry?

Who has a short ram/intake for the v6 G4 camry? What kind did you buy and how much was it? I noticed the injen is like 200 bucks for theirs, AEM doesn't make one and those run about 100. What has everyone else put on? Has it increased your gas milege? If so, how much?

Well, I have Injen Short Ram Intake in my 1998 V6 Camry..

I don't know if it does increase mpg.. But I think it doesn't.. Exactly the opposite.. The intake will increase your airflow to the engine.. So I think you'll be spending a bit more gas..

What I can tell you is you'll feel an increase in acceleration, not HUGE, but you'll notice it... Also, the sound in the engine when U step on the gas, at about 2.5K - 3K RPM is AWESOME..!!

If had to buy it again, I would...

It is not a waste of money if you want an upgrade that you can reverse...

I could take that intake out anytime and put the stock intake back if I wanted to.. Not that I'm planning to, but you never know...

If you buy an air filter an that's it, you need to cut off the stock box an that's the last time you'll see that working...

All depends on what you want to do...

What about a stock box K&N filter? I know it doesn't compare to sound because it sounds the same. The price difference is 30 dollars compared with 200. I had one in my Legend, and it made a difference, but my MPG went down a couple. I was getting 25 mixed city/highway before and after I was getting 22-23 mixed city/highway, but it was a lot more fun!
