Tranny Probs....Help!!!!!!
I recently purchased a 1993 camry with 140,000 miles on it. Test drove it 4 times no problems. Took it home and have had it for 9 days, again no problems....until today. RPMs went up no movement. Then my wife parked the car at home ..... started it later ran around a little came home parked it...again no problems. She then takes it out and tranny starts acting up....if you turn it off and wait for about 15 seconds and start it off it goes for about 3 blocks...then bam gone.....I pulled trouble codes and got 71 which says troque converter may be slipping. Will a tranny flush and filter help restore the converter? Does over used fluid cause torqu conv. slippage? Oh yeah tranny has less then 20,000 miles on it.
