Someone tried to break into my car by prying off my passenger side door lock. now the lock is sticking out and the plastic cap is no longer flush w/ the handle. Could you actually break into the car by just prying out the exterior lock?

is there a way a can DIY fix this myself? i'll post a pic when i get a chance. the outside lock no longer works since it's sticking out.

My freinds 93 corrola locked him out....we took a screw driver and a hammer and Punched the lock in. And the reached in and pulled the latch.

But on our newer cars he have theft de-turrents so i doubt its that easy

Why dont you have a Master Key or a Emergency key? When i got my 03 Camry it came with 3 Keys and a White Credit card with a plastic key that can be used once when you get locked out.

anyone know a good site where i can purchase another cover for the lock? the original has been lost.
