Not to poke on you or anything, but do you understand what a header will do to your car?

So are you saying you are looking to get something that you don't know what it will do to your car once it's installed?

I suggest you to go ot HowStuffWorks.com, take a look at this article or even the whole section about car engine.

Give him a break... He didn't say he wanted to buy it. He just wanted to know where to get 'em.

i thought about giving this guy a break but his questions are too broad, too general, get specific man... headers are very expensive, i think in the 300-400 range. heres a pic of headers...

the 4 pipes coming outta the engine...

but the headers will give you extra hp won't they? i've read that howstuffworks site and if i remember correctly 4-1 extractors will give more acceleration while 4-2-1 gives top end (is it that way round?). but i've heard it will make the engine bay much hotter, is this true?

it would depend on the header... if ur header is stainless steel it wont dissipate the heat as much and would make the engine bay hotter.. whereas a cermic header will give u a cooler effect in the engine bay.. even though u dont have a header ur stock one is pretty hot as well only reason u dont notice it is cos there is a big metal piece on top of it called a heat shield which covers the heat and reflects it back down to the header

a header alone will not give u the hp u want.. u want to do the whole bit of the cars breathing.. intake/exhaust/header/cat converter/port polish/ etc.. lots to do to better ur car's breathing capabilities... but wish u luck.. as for headers for a 4cyl.. u can go in ebay or somethin if not like the others they pointed out nopi... brospeed i think is the only one that makes for the 4 cylinder 5sfe motor... dunno about the v6 though...

humpty
