Anyone has installed "Sound deadener" or "Heat insulation" in their Camry Headliner? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Hi all,

i'm thinking of putting a sheet of heat insulation & sound deadener on my headliner, since summer is coming i thought it would be a really good idea to soften the sound n the hot temp.

before i wanna do it i just want to know from all you guys who have done this before if they really works....

I'm going to guess no, but I don't know. Do it, tell us how it is, then DIY.

I dont think there is room under the roof to get anything in more than a sprayon job

ive found the materials for it. the sound deadening costs $22aud per square meter. for the heat insulation should be around that price too.

i might do it.....the thing is i dont like taking all the bits off, coz once you take them off you never can put them back like before

ill probably ask my bro to help me with it. ill post a DIY if i can...

Just make sure to get sound deadener that can handle the heat (assuming you'll be getting mat) or you can go liquid, and that would work as well. I don't know about the insulating business. Check out sounddeadenershowdown.com (i think thats it) for info on how stuff holds up against the heat.
