Australia Anyone here try AQUADIP on their Camry before??? CF/Woodgrain/Steel look/etc...?

Hi all,

today i called up aquadip.com.au and i asked them how much it would costs to spray paint my black plastic bit inside the car to woodgrain. (example pic of Carbon Fibre Aquadipping)

they quoted to me it would costs me $460aud ^^ just to do that for my camry. and they also told me it would takes 2 weeks do to them (no this is not those plastic like on ebay, they dip it in some special liquid paint)

I reckon he is overcharging me.... what do you guys think???

that would be 300+ in US dollars, its a lot of money just goin to your dash and arm rests. It would be unique to have it done there though, if i had a lot of money id do it but if i was broke i would do a diy.

Australia

As I understand it, the part isn't sprayed but dipped with a sheet
of film which moulds itself over the part - correct?

CURRENCY CONVERTER

$460 Aud = $345.65 Usd

I've posted this before, but I'm not sure if its the same thing. Go to www.exoticwooddash.com, and you'll see that they do "custom coating." I've been thinking about doing it, but haven't given them a call to get a quote or anything. Probably worth a shot. Let us know!
