4th Generation Kyb Gr-2, Gas-a-just..?? Difference..??

Hi guys..

I was planning to buy KYB GR-2 Struts when I ran into this:

I wrote to the guys at KYB because in their official site there are two different part numbers for each strut on each axle/side.

There are four model numbers that start with "334xxx" and four model numbers that start with "235yyy".

I asked them the difference and they said that 334's where being replaced by 235's...

I started searching and 334's are GR-2 struts but 235's are Gas-A-Just struts that look pretty much the same as the OEM struts...

Take a look:

This is how 334's look like (KYB GR-2):

And down here is how 235's look like (KYB Gas-A-Just):

These are both models for Gen 4 Camry's (97-01)..

Can someone help me with this please...?????

Are this 235's performance struts or OEM replacements..??

No idea, as in nobody has the slightest idea...???

Well, I'll guess I'll just go with the "original" KYB GR-2's....

Thanks anyways for taking a look at the thread to see if you could help..

The pictures you showed for the GR2s are not for a Camry.. they're just a sample picture. The back shock shown in the GR2 pic is for a truck most likely... and the front strut shown is for a Honda 100% sure.

The Camry has a strut that looks like the Gas-A-Just picture you showed..... regardless of brand, make, model, whatever...

GR2s can be had from www.nopionline.com if you want a set.
