Gen5 wind or road noise.....

My 03 gen 5 seems to have more road or wind noise than I think is normal for other camrys. Both my front windows frames seem to not seal very good when the glass is at the top of its movement. does anyone else have this problem...I tried some sound proofing thinking it was actually the doors but then realized it was the door frame seals not meeting properly. When I lower the glass a tad, the seal gets BETTER...!! Try it with your front windows and watch the frame.....

I can take one...its kinda weird...if the windows are at the top of their travel....they sorta push the door frame out like a couple millimeters or so ....and viola road or wind noise...but if I just TAP the window down button, and let the window drop about 2 mm. it relaxes the force on the frame and it seals tighter.

Someone had this problem before... you need to have your motor adjusted because it lifts the window too high.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I am assuming that the car is still under warranty due to the age. Unless you ahve gone over on your miles. I would recommend taking it to the dealer. THey have equipment specifically designed for finding wind noise in a car. It is very possible also like someone else said that it is a known problem and there is a fix for it. It may be something that came out in a TSB that the service dept. has and they know the problem as soon as you tell them the situation. When the Tacoms first came out in 95 we had a TSB come out to do with wind noise at the door frame and A-pillar. The fix was, don't laugh this came straight from Toyota, take a dollar bill and close it in the door. If you can pull the bill out with no tension felt the door needs to be adjusted. Now the fun part, adjsuting the door. We were to roll the window down, oen the door, put our knee in the door panel and pull on the top of the door frame until the dollar bill could not be pulled out. It was always great when the customer happened to sneak around the corner while we were doing this since we normally wouldnt even pull it in the shop for the "repair". So like I said try the dealer jsut to make sure it is not a known problem and see if they can take care of it for you.
