4th Generation Brakes Squeal after NEW front pads and rotors..

Hi guys

LONG time no post here for me, but i just replaced my brake pads and rotors on the front end... they are both BRAND NEW. but they squeal. i put everything back and used good amount of antisqueal glue on the shims and sprayed rotors down with cleaner. this squeal hasn't gone away since i replaced them.. adn i replaced it a month ago.

any idea?

yeah they are in properly, i actually failed inspection b/c "they needed adjustment" i took them to Pepboys and they couldn't find anything wrong with them. they dont squeal that bad, just once when u give hard brake or soft brake sometimes.. i have to get the car reinspected.. see if they pass me.. also they said i need to adjust my rear drums.. aren't out gen4 drums self adjusting?

Might be the grade of pads. Some will tend to make more noise then others! Do not spray WD-40 on the pads! I have had pads that make noise for 1-2k miles then they quit.

I have brand new duralast and some other brand ceramic breaks. I have the same problem, usually in the morning when the car has not been driven for a while. Maybe its dew

For some reason semi-metallic brakes and camry's DO NOT MIX, if u did in fact get semi metallic, try the ceramics next time, they are recomended by dealership anyway

Take the pads back to where u bought them, most of the pads have unlimited warranty, just tell the they squeal too much, and get some ceramics pads, if you already have ceramics, go with another brand but CERAMIC all the way!

I got ceramic pads and stuff installed by Midas TWICE!....my new pads now squeel and sorta feel/sound like the old pads, which were just torn up by the time i brought it in. Even the guys at midas were shocked when they heard me pull up! And when they saw my brake pads. Now i honestly did not do anything bad with my car etc. They blamed it on perhaps my use of the tire shining sprays but i havent used those since they replaced my new pads, but after one wash they started deteriorating....so can these brake pads not get wet? All 4 of my rotors were resurfaced and all 4 pads replaced....whats up? Are they just using cheap pads? This is really ticking me off. They also slapped on grease, but they threw away this silver backing plate? Maybe that's needed?
