K, i have a gen2. There is a slight chance that i may inherit a set of custom made rims (cost my friend $3000), but they would more suit a gen3 (has the same stud pattern as the gen3, ---offset im not too sure about as of yet). i was just wondering is it possible to change the hub discs etc on the gen2 and replace them with that of the gen3? and if so what exactly would need to be changed????
i realise this may not be a practical idea but i thought i'd ask the question anyway as i am curious.
im not to sure you can change that however I dont think you would need to. the gen3 bolt pattern is 5x100 and I wouldent imagine that they would change the bolt patter by generation, I could be wrong. If so and you cant change it for maybe 150$ you can get some adaptors from most rims shops. It might offset your rims a little, make them stick out slightly, but not to bad

if theyre cast alloy that is... and if they are 3g was a rip off.
you can use hud adapters but they probably wont fit.
depends onthe hweel size... this thread is useless without it. you dont even know what the wheel pcd is and youre already asking about changing hubs.
very doubful it would work, unless you want do so some major re engineering (to get it road legal again)
it all depends on the wheels first.
