Colder air requires more fuel, warmer air requires less. As the air cools, your gas mileage will go down.
Wait until NOV 1st when the oxegenated fuel hit the pumps, your mileage will go down even more.
There were points in time on my old 1995 1MZ-FE where I was getting 15-16 mpg. Usually in Jan-Feb in rush hour traffic. On the highway in the summer, the same car without any changes would get 28mpg, go figure.
You also have an intake and a high flow muffler, so colder air can pass through even easier and suck down more fuel
