Correct idle speed? If not, check the IAC.

I got a pretty bad shake at idle too but I changed my rear engine mount not too long ago. I though I might have a vacuum problem that made the engine misbehave at idle. My RPMs at idle is just at 750 (just what the Haynes Manual says it should be). Is there a way to check the mounts? I know a bad one will make the engine sit low or will allow to the engine to move all over the place when the engine shifts gears. My engine sits right and I cant see the engine when its shifting so what's to do? Dont whant to change a mount that doesn't need changing bcos they arent cheap you know.

if it is engine mount related . Your dog bone must be cracked. So change the Dog bone first to see if it improves somewhat. ( you can use a cheap ebay dog bone first)

If your Y pipe is gone ( leaky exhaust ) at the flex junction but is not totally breaking up yet
you migh also get a vibration. The cheaper fix will be to weld a flex pipe to it . This is confirmed by more vibration when the car is in drive than in park.

VAccum leak can also cause this.

See if you can borrow a vaccumm guage and adapt it to the pcv hose. For how to use the v guage to dignose the health of your engine you can search the web. The v guage can be as cheap as 15 dollars.
