2nd Generation clutch problem

My 1990 camry 4 cyl has some clutch issues. Whenever I accelerate it just revs and the car barely moves. I don't know what's causing it to slip. I know I have to replace the clutch but is it neccesary to buy the whole clutch kit? I'm kinda broke and I would like to just buy the clutch disc if thats whats causing the slipping. Not sure... need help.

Definetly sounds like the clutch, and yeah best to replace the whole thing with a kit (pressure plate/disc/TO bearing). It's not worth the risk to just change the disc. While your there...do it all.
