...there is that awful looking Wepon R (looks like the worlds biggest pile of sh!t), but no K&N, AFE, etc.
Does anyone make decent accesories for my car (see sig)?
A long time ago, I thought someone said they were developing (aka, bending a pipe to fit) a CAI for the Gen. 4 Camry.
I'm pissed off because we put a new intake in our new Ram Diesel and it actually made a difference (better throttle responce, bit more eagar to move, etc.) - just the fact they actually make one. I would love to put something in my car.

Ken,
Check Injen, they make one, but a price tag of 200 bucks. I just installed a K&N drop in filter ( 33-2145-1 ) for around 40 bucks.. I gotta say that it does help the camry 4cyl respond better. My next mod would be to smooth out the lower air box and replumb the air inlet.
i contacted AEM and they quoted that the 4 gen camry wasn't as popular as the accords.
dirt diggler
I have an SRI on my 1mz, essentially the same thing but short. Not only do the hoses make a difference, but every one of them is essential if you want your car to run properly. You might see increased throttle response, especially if your air filter is dirty, but as far as extra power goes it doesn't really do anything. Also note that the Edmunds.com time for our cars is off...I don't think a stock 1mz can pull below an 8 second time.
Mine is a stick, and the 0-60 time should be fairly close. It pulls up to 100 without even flinching. Also, I can just tap 60 in 2nd at redline, so not having to shift to 3rd helps that number. We also have a Honda Pilot which has a 0-60 time that is fairly close, and it feels a lot slower than my Camry (as in, the speed I can get it up to when getting on the freeway)
Thank you for being honest about the performance gains. I probably won't bother. I just need a project car.

For all that money companies out there are charging, might as well just go to a muffler shop and get them to cut you some aluminum/steel pipes, go buy some PVC tubes and make your own CAI.
It's soooo easy to do it's not even funny. CAI DIYs are all over this forum as you already know.
