Buying suspension parts from ebay - a good idea?

Ok, so I need to buy some suspension parts for my car. Namely I'm getting GR-2 struts and probably Pro-Kit springs. It's a lot cheaper to buy these things off of ebay, but I'm wondering if this is really a good idea. I mean, you never know when some ebay seller is going to try to rip you off; obviously they're not certified parts stores. Has anyone on here had experience with ebay dealers? Any bad experiences or things that I should look out for?

before you buy check their feedback and search the manufacturer (kyb and eibach) for the correct part numbers. email seller to clarify that the manufacturer part number is the same that is for sale.
make sure you get tracking number and might help if you get phone number and address.

i got my springs from eBay...the quality is basically the same as you would get it in the shop.

yeah just check their feedback before buying. and avoid anything with "WESTERN UNION" too many fraudster/scammers use them! (all they need is the transaction number and they can get the money without any I.D)

The only Camry part I've bought on Ebay is a window regulator/motor assembly . Waaaaayyyy cheaper than the dealer and the original and the replacement looked identical side by side on the bench. Check the feedback and try to use PayPal. I've bought maybe 100 various things on Ebay and sold maybe 10 and have yet to get burned. It is my understanding that some of the parts vendors are actually dealerships using Ebay to expand their market.
FWIW
YMMV

^ A lot said up there already.
Never pay cash or check for anything, Paypal is best.
Also, check out the references. If it smells fishy - walk.
I bought quite a bit of stuff from ebay, sometimes I even like what I got.

Like has been said before, basically, be sure your dealing with a reputable seller, and be sure you're actually getting the parts you want. Make sure it's not "similar to Eibach" or some BS like that.
