Scion had announced the supercharger at the tC’s debut, but had left enthusiasts hanging for the TRD part to officially go on sale. The centrifugal supercharger is designed to provide 200 horsepower, which is a 25% increase in peak horsepower. Peak torque output is also claimed to rise 13%, with torque increasing right to redline. The supercharger is available for manual transmission cars only through TRD. Retail pricing is set at $3200, plus installation. Thanks to Rocket Punch for the tip; the full press release can be found at the jump.
Well at least this way, we know that they've gotten past the VVT-i issue on the 2AZ superchargers... which means that a Camry s/c should be around the corner.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
In theory, all you need to do is get your ecu calibrated for it and should work on a Camry. imagine a 2.4L 5spd auto or manual S/C camry!
Not to sound like an ass/thread crapper, but when do we get an S/C for the 3.3L motors? 225hp/240lb-ft torque isn't doing it for me yet!
I'm with you. I keep remembering all those big block V8's I used to drive that put out in excess of 300+ hp and 350+ lb-ft torque. They were fun but ate a lot of gas.
Had a fwd '71 Olds Toronado with 455cid that put out 375hp and 425ft-lb of torque. 9mpg city and 14 mpg hiway on premium though.
you could get those increases from a good head job
would be cheaper too
if you wont spend 2 grand on a head job, youre not gonna spend 4 grand on a superhcarger.
