3rd Generation DIY ipod integration

Hey guys basically if u havent realized yourself you can hook up ur ipod to ur headunit without an itrip and it is much better quality because it doesnt go through the radio Materials Drill Headfone Wire (red and white cords and then the headfone end) Flathead Philips Head First, for all removing of ur headunit refer to rayrays guide http://rayrayonline.bravehost.com/headunit.htm Next you should have a black blank shelf in which u can drill a hole in large enough for a headfone jack to fit http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drill3yv.jpg Next connect the red and white jacks from ur headfone wire to ur subwoofer input in the back of ur cd deckLastly rescrew the shelf back to ur headunit bracket and screw ur headunit back on and put ur dash back in and KABOOF http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?im...working3di.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?image=vip7oz.jpg only down side to this project is that it only plays in ur front speakers But of course i have a fix for that In ur itunes select all ur songs and go to song volume it should read-100-------------------------0---------------------100 and it should be set at 0 Now Set it at 100 and ur volume will be much louder and will overcompensate for the rear speakershey this project cost me about a buck for the headfone jack so im happy for it to play put ur cd deck on a radio station that doesnt come in and put your volume at 1 (if its on 0 it wont work) but cd deck volume doesnt matter just make sure it is on.o hey and this is just a pic of my car after my fender bender where i had to replace all lighting hood front bumber (OF COURSE repainted back to my arrival blue paint code)http://img34.imageshack.us/my.php?im...illacam4uq.jpg GL GUYS ~

Materials:
Drill
Headphone Wire (red and white cords and then the headphone end)
Flathead Philips Head

First, remove your headunit (refer to rayrays guide: http://rayrayonline.bravehost.com/headunit.htm )

Next, you should have a black blank shelf in which you can drill a hole in large enough for a headphone jack to fit
( http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drill3yv.jpg )

Next, connect the red and white jacks from your headphone wire to your subwoofer input in the back of your cd deck.

Lastly screw the shelf back to your headunit bracket and screw your headunit back on and put your dash back in ( http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?im...working3di.jpg ) ( http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?image=vip7oz.jpg )

The only down side to this project is that it only plays in your front speakers, but of course I have a fix for that. In your iTunes select all your songs and go to song volume it should read:
-100-------------------------0---------------------100

It should be set at 0. Now set it at 100 and your volume will be much louder and will overcompensate for the rear speakers. Hey, this project cost me about a buck for the headphone jack, so I'm happy .

For it to play put your cd deck on a radio station that doesnt come in and put your volume at 1 (if its on 0 it wont work) but cd deck volume doesnt matter just make sure it is on.
