Lots of pictures

I finally got un-lazy and uploaded a bunch of pictures that I took over the past few months. I've got a little of everything below. Each different link below is an imagstation album. Take a look and post any questions or comments!

June NorCal Meet: These pictures are a bit out of date now, but I figured it was still worth putting them up.

Lowering my car: I did this with the help of 88LE and karma.

Whiteline rear swaybar: I did this myself. Its a challege, but doable.

Sound deadening: This was in preparation for the subwoofer installation. I haven't had any rattles. See the link below for how the trunk with the subwoofer looks now.

Euro clear corners: Pictures from a test fit of the clear corners I got from a guy in Finland. I will need to do a little modification before they will fit.

2002 Petit Le Mans: I took a little trip to Atlanta, and saw the 1000 mile race while I was there. Lots of fun.

LED lit trunk: Rather than doing neon like everyone else, I thought I would be different. Take a look. I'll be doing the inside of the car soon.

Short shifter: This is a real short shifter, originally intended for a 90-91 Celica made by TWM Performance. It fits perfectly in the 2nd gen Camry. I'm still looking for a good boot to replace the stock one.

Phew... that is all... though if you are still itching for more pictures, click the link in my signature. All comments and questions are welcomed.

Where did you get the short shifter, and how much was it?

I used the Intrax springs for the 4-cylinder 2nd gen (my car, of course!). They are supposed to lower 1.5" all around. The front ended up being 1.5" lower, but the back probably went down less than an inch. I evened it out by putting a 100lb subwoofer back there :P But you can always just cut one coil on the rear springs (not normally recommended, but you can do it safely here). I also installed the Tokico struts at the same time. The to really work well together, no bouncing, just a nice tight and controlled ride. And my non-car friends don't complain about it!

Like, I said, I got it from TWM Performance. www.twmperformance.com It was 130USD shipped. You can also go the cheap route by just cutting the top of the shifter and get an aftermarket shift knob that uses set screws to attach it. But that way, you won't get a decrreased throw angle.

The tranny definitely improves the 'fun' factor of the car. It doesn't make it much faster though... It is nice to be able to choose my gears though.

On your car domain site it says you have red bulbs behind your HVAC controls. How hard was that to do? Does that also use the regular 194 bulbs, or are they some funky size? I'd like to get all the dash lights (including the cruise switch and stuff) red if its pretty easy. If its a big pain, I'll just stick with having red guages and everything else the stock green color.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the stock rear swaybar (if you have one) is 14mm and the Whiteline bar is 17mm. For the front, the stock is 24mm and the Whiteline bar is 27mm. I will finally be getting the front bar installed tomorrow (Tuesday). I'll report back, of course! The back is definitely worth the money, and I hope the front is also. I got both bars through a groupby with Shawn at www.ctmotorsport.com. The groupbuy is not longer on, but you can still get them from his site. You can also get them directly from Whiteline at www.whiteline.com.au. Also, it pays to check out the whiteline site - they have a bunch of great tech info... so read up! 8)
