i just bought the HID xenon 8k kit 9006 bulbs and...mine doesn't go anywhere neear the alternator... my kit came with two ballast options...use an auxillary connection or connect it straight to your stock headlight plugs which i did...i used zip ties to hand the ballasts near the windshield fluid and one behind the battery...and i have no idea what the law is in toronto..

Isn't the beam very shattered? I think having projectors will focus the beam and make it look like OEM HIDs. The best option probably would be doing a retrofit of some sort...

still bright and you can see everything. In FL its not illegal, but cops are VERY uncaring. Today i saw someone roll through a stop sign and slam on their brakes because they were about to hit a cop and he just looked and rolled right a long.

No... its VERY illegal to run an HID kit. It is a federal law.

And 8000k is just barely brighter lumen for lumen, and when you factor in how much light is lost because of a shitty beam pattern, it is less bright.

As for how to wire your POS kit: Make a harness. Else you run the risk of melting your wiring harness.

I want to install some HIDs in my 98 camry too. pk_pk, please keep us posted on the lighitng results. I'm sketchy about how the cut-off line will look like on our fluted lens. I don't want it to scatter everywhere and go blinding people.

On the subject of projectors though, are they tough to install? I remember finding a thread that has a brief tutorial, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Is it hard to adjust the projectors?

they care then because they know you have a kit, 4300k is brighter, ya cops dont care you know how offten i see people driving with there high beams on, my friend did the almost hitting a cop thing once too and the cop didnt care.

but you NEED projectors, Kits are illegal, and it not hard to put projectors in just hard to clear the flukes.

i'll take a picture of my projectors behind my flukes on a gen 3 prolly have them up tomorrow

Hawkeye-SE beat me to it ...he's right.. be best if you do a retrofit and go for 4300k for more optimum light output

so 4300k is the optimal for most lumens?

what would you suggest for most optimal brightness with a tint of color? is 6000k too much lost of lumens?
