Lightbulb Questionably useful stuff in ebay

Ok i know that eBay is a useful site for cheap stuff. But I’m getting confused, are some of the things on this site worth it or is it junk.

Like this for example
Type Camry on eBay motor parts and you end up with over 5000 entries
http://motors.search.ebay.com/camry_...Z1QQsofocusZbs

i am looking for some decent parts on eBay but i don’t know if they are just crap like this part bellow

front tower brace
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-96...spagenameZWDVW

What have you bought on eBay that is worth it and what was crap that was returned or broke to soon?

List them down so we can collaborate on this subject.

by the way is this brace worth it?

I am not sure I understand what your asking but what it is you are buying on ebay isnt as important as who you are buying from. If I tell you that I bought an oil filter off of ebay that doesnt mean that if you buy an oil filter on ebay hat it will be good.

You want to know what is junk and what is good out of the 5000 products when you type camry in the search field. I hope when your buyin partts your lookin for specific parts. In that case the search would return far less than 5000 products.

Every thing I have ever bought off of ebay I have been satisfied with. Thats because I make sure I like seller and I check their ratings before I purchase.

Me telling you hat I bouht a good oil pan gasket off of ebay means absolutely nothing

thats my 3 cents

^^^ agree with him. It is not so much waht you are buying jsut make sure who you are buying from has good feedback. Especially for items you may want to be purchasing. IF they sell a bunch of stuff for several different makes and models try to find people taht have commented about the particualr items you want to buy. Even going with someone who has excellent feedback you may get burnt though. You could even do a search on here to see if anyone may have bought that particular item from someone before and what their experience was. IS some of the stuff junk, yes it is. But alot of the people are going to want to be selling quality stuff so their feedback doesnt go to hell.

As good as a $50.00 one..... it will not be a solid bar and solid is better but for what you will use it for it would be fine. I had a $20.00 bar on my car for 2 years before I got my TRD one, and I used to Auot-X with it....the $20.00 one will be fine. Hope that helps.

A good rule of thumb is to not buy from sellers with <97% positive feedback.

Still not sure if I understand what your saying. But if you have never seen the product then your knowledge of the product is limited to the descripion of that product. But that doesnt really have to do with ebay though. That goes for buying via mail order.

what can you expect from a product you never seen?
1)you can expect whats in the picture, 2)you can expect what is described by seller and google search.

I would think that this is common sense so I would assume I am not understanding your question.

You are difficult to under stand.

sentence 2 says "I know that the integrity of the seller is ussually in question but, what can you expect from a product you have never seen. "

sentence 3 says "Dam im just saving my money for something else then. Thanks for posting"

How does what you were saying in sentence 3 follow up on what what you said in sentence 2.
