i am starting my headlight project tomorrow. putting the es250 headlights in. when i got the lights, i noticed that there was a seperate plug for the projectors. Joey gave me the the connector with alittle extra wire. my question is, where to splice the wires into? should i just go from the headlight wires that are already there?
Question number 2:
the yellow projector is ok, but i was thinking something blue maybe. can the projector be changed? and what would be necessary to change it from yellow to blue? also what type? i know that there are different sizes i guess just like bulbs, just want to know what to get.
Thank you guys in advance for the help, like always, everyone is so helpful.

Splice it to wherever you want. You can make it come on on Parker...Low B....Hi B...or a seperate switch. Makes no difference. You probobly be best to run it through a relay either way, just to protect the cars wiring.
Can you just change the globe in it? What exactly makes it yellow? Put blue celaphane in there!

my dad said something about him thinking that they were used at high beam. im not exactly sure what makes them yellow. i might take one apart tomorrow and try and find out. what kind of relay should i use?
^ Jetspeed - its kind of random, but i might need your help down the road about wiring the SAFC2 into my car, do i need anything extra?

The reason they are yellow is most likey because there supposed to be fog lights. Yellow light disperss better in fog than white.
Any type of simple horn relay should suffice..perhaps..30-60A rating. Check the rating of the normal headlight relay and see what it is, and use one similar.
And yeah, no problem, i can help you. It's farily easy..just a matter of finding the colors of the wires. I made up a chart for reference while doing it with the color/location etc. Was easy. You don't need anything else..but i got my own connectors. I found them better than the silly ones you get with the SAFC2.

The ES250 fog lights have a yellow glass surround that gives them the yellow look. You would have to cafully break those glass surrounds and shake the shards out of the light assembly. Also the factory wirng for those lights is to a seperate switch. It is set up that when you turn them on they have a relay that will turn them off with the high beams, and on with the low beams. They switch off with the headlights.

You may want to set up a seperate switch for your fog lights. If you go to a wrecking yard the older Toyota "Wonder Wagons" usally have a factory fog light switch that will fit nicely in one of the "blanks" on the Left side of the steering wheel. I would also suggest setting up a relay off of the Low Beam circuit so they will only come on when the low beams are on.

so run the fog lights to a switch, then splice in a relay that goes from the low beams to the fog lights? like just go from one wire on the low beam to one on the fog light (do it for both wires)?

Try something like that.
The light will turn ON when the LOW beams are ON AND the toggle switch is enabled. Give's you the option to turn them off it you want.

^ Like he said. When wiring high draw items like lights, the safest way is to keep to the shortest path for your main circuit. So the circuit would start at the battery + to Fuse to Relay to Lights to Ground. Then you would go from the fog light relay to fog light switch to a second relay that is activated by your low beam circuit to ground.
With 2 relays you minimize the risk of creating a direct short and or having a direct short manifest itself and screwing up your wiring.
