"Old School" Headers were CAST IRON split into covering each half of the
exhaust ports then having two pipes collect into a Y joint (SV 21 style), Extractors
were a tangle of pipes where each PAIR helped to EXTRACT gas from its "mate".
"Tuned Length " extractors had each pipe tuned to the same length
(looks like spaghetti) to evenly extract all the gases for a harmonised flow...
Everyone here talks about "headers" but the ones I've seen are really
a cross between headers and extractors....
To clarify, your USA headers have the 4 pipes collecting into a large box that
then goes to a single pipe.
So for the best performance gains, EXTRACTORS would be of more benefit !
