About two months ago I picked up a 95 1MZ, the guy who owened it prior took decent care of it, but I need to fix a few things on it. First off, I need to dump the brake fluid that is in there. It's really really black and nasty looking! What I'm trying to figure out though is how to go about purging the fluid and adding more? Is there a simple DIY at home for this? I spoke to the mechanics at the Air Force base's auto skills shop and they said they have a vacume system I could use. Not sure how that would work either so if anyone's got any ideas for me I'd love to here it!
Gently crack open all the bleeder valves on the wheels and
keep filling the master cylinder untill clean fluid comes out.
Messy but simple !

If i were you i would leave that old fliud in there because you will highly endup with leaking break pistons, and that will force you to rebuild all the caliper piston gaskets. Believe me or not i was thinking of doing that this weekend but before i did it i asked my autoshop teacher when i was in school this week and he told me that. so i decided not to do it and keep that fluid in there, But if the car was only two, three or fouryears old it would of been ok to do it but your car is over 10 years old and that can cause prblems. but it's your car.
but then that would be a bandaid fix and you still have the problem. its liek runnign heavy engine oil to compensate for gasket leaks... YOURE STILL LEAKING.

I agree. I would rather fix the problem, and if another problem creates itself, fix that too rather then to just say "this might happen" and never do anything about it. I appreciate the advice none the less though.
