Anyone try these tires? It's not common to find V rated tire that has a 60,000 mile warranty?
I do some spirited driving sometimes in my Camry.
I currently have Continental ExtremeContact 215/50/17 on the car. I'm wondering how these would compare.
I do not have any snow requirement so I really don't need all-season tires. I mostly drive on wet/dry roads, sometimes off-road, and sometimes sandy/muddy roads.

They were new on my car when I bought it and I found the traction and driveability to be quite good. My only complaint would be the wear rate. I'm a moderate driver and at the rate they were wearing, I would have been surprised to get 30k out of them.
^^^what he said - when in the market for any kind of tire, I always check the the tests and reviews on tirerack -no matter what my local tire store claims.
Oh, I'm running a set of T/As and am at 15K miles - happy with them except they do seem to be getting noisier with age.
Awesome tire and worth the $$. Handles pretty much everything well, for what you want I think it's a good buy. They're what I want to put on my car in the spring.

I am currently running the 215/45R17 g-Force Sports and I think they are great all around tires. They handle like yokohamas AVS Es-100 and wear like a stock tires. I've gone almost 25,000 miles and these can probably go another 20,000. Check out Tirerack's reviews.
Tirerack reveiws are ok, but I've notice that many reviews are less than 1,000 miles and put a review. I don't think it's fair to judge a tire based on the first few hundred miles of using a tire.
My understanding of how a tire is made, some lubricants are placed between the rubber and the mold which wear off as the tires are used.
Besides, it's not very likely that one would enouter both wet and dry conditions in that short a period.
I have Traction TA s on my newer camry right now, have about 4k on them, they do well in the snow for an all season tire, here in Denver, they have a bit of road noise, but I have found that if you want quiet tires they don't last, I don't believe they won't last, they have no wear after 4k at all, they look new. I say buy them.
Might have my mom get them for her Sienna when she needs new tires. For some weird reason, my dad will only buy Michelin tires despite the fact that I personally think that they're sometimes overprice for the quality. I guess it's the brand name. BFG somehow related to Michelin so I might be able to convince him.
Hydroedge has higher ratings, but twice the cost. 90k mi tread warranty too. The BFG Traction TA has 60k mi warranty.
that's about it. A friend of mine got some $800 Michelin tires for her jeep, and they're just some stock 2wd looking brick tires that I bet aren't any better for driving to Walmart than some Cooper tires.

Michelin = expensive
AND
Michelin = Crap
I have Michelin Rainforce tires on my car right now, they're fairly quiet but have no traction in the rain and not much of it in the dry. Plus, they communicate nothing about the road back to me.
Not a brand I recommend.
OP: looks like you're goin' Traction T/A. Good choice, sir

As with anything, the overall brand's insufficient to judge the entire line. See Bridgestone S-03 v. Bridgestone RE92. Looks like the traction T/A looks like a good bang for the buck for touring class tires.

I got the H,Traction AA 205/65/15 on my G-5, I don't baby the car, but I don't beat it either. It came with Goodyear 'Integrity's which were horrible in rain/snow, lasted 20K Got Traction T/A's and they were good, but have lasted only 17K, worn down to 2-3/32nds in the center, 5/32nds on outside edges @30-31psi cold. Not overinflated. At $75.00/tire for 18000 miles, they are VERY expensive. , Treadwear 440,ha, divide that by 2, and maybe they should last to 22K. Remember the ratings on the sidewall are the MANUFACTURER's claims (puffery) how good THEY THINK their tire is. Tirerack's ratings are other buyer's OPINIONS, only. I had asked before what tires were good traction/handling, and would last?
