So I have had plenty tell me that putting 20's on my car will also require new brake setup. First thing first where would I find a bigger brake setup (rotors/caliper/ steel braided brake lines) for my Gen3? I know I could fabricate some rotors from a different car, but how much work needed?
Better yet if anyone could point me in the direction of a setup for the Gen 3, that would be GREAT! Or at least a setup similar that would get really close to fitting my Gen3.
Last but not least I need some direction on getting rid of those shitty drums in the back and replacing them with rotors as well...any help in that area? Simple switch or losts of fabrication?

cant remmeber who, but theres a custom mount where you can use supra rotors and v6 calipers i think. allen has that set up on his fronts. or i think someone came out with a big break kit, cant remember who tho, but i remember it had a big price tag. probly better off to go with the supra rotors.
as for the back..search for "rear calipers" or something to that effect, and there should be a write up there somewhere
yea thats what I was sayin. I know I dont NEED new brakes but if im puttin 20's on my car thats a whole hell of alot more rotating mass to stop as compared to the 14 inch stock rim setup that the stock brakes are setup for to begin with.

Oh and by the way does a Supra set up go on pretty easy or is there some fabrication needed?
youd have to really ask allen (ufoz) about that, i know theres some other people too that can help, i just cant think of them off the top of my head right now

Wasn't it Gen3Cruiser that did the conversion and sold kits for a Supra/Gen 3 Brake Conversion??

do you get a bigger brake kit when you fit a phat sound system in your boot?
or when you take an extra passenger?
didnt think so.

unspring, sprung, its all the same when it comes to changing the forward inertia to heat, to stop car.
the only reason you would get a bigger brake kit for any real person here would be the bling factor.
you do not make any more actualy braking pressure between the pad and disc, infact you may get LESS as there might be more piston surface area in a larger caliper, which would make your brakes WORSE.
i dont see any use for a major brake upgrade (larger cylinder, calipers, discs) unless yoreu pushing at leat more then 40% more power then stock, and this is only because youll probably be on the track where the larger mass of the disc will help resist fade speaking of which, larger brakes = more weight too.
im the same way why would you need major brake surgery if youre only adding 5% more weight? just use a bit of extra pedal to slow the car down.
anyone who reccomends you get a bigger brake kist just becuase youve plus sized your wheels is trying to rip you off.

So you are telling me that, adding twenty pounds of weight to each rim, would be the equivalent of sitting a 9 year old child in the back seat? I think you may have a hard time proving that one.
(I am using hyperbole to demonstrate a point, of course).
