Found Toyota factory subwoofer on ebay, worth it?

Someone seems to be selling Toyota's factory sub on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...spagenameZWD1V

He lists it as 2002-2005 does this fit other years? (I have a 1999)
Also, is it worth the $200+ he's asking?
Which seat does it fit under? I'm guessing it'd have to be passenger since the driver's is full of motors N such.

if you are planning on upgrading your headunit, then its probably better to have an aftermarket sub and amp. you can build one about that size with cleaner and better power.

you will definatly not be impressed with this subwoofer lol.. if you want anything decent you should go with aftermarket like dirt said. Btw deffinatly not worth close to 200, thats just what it retails for at toyota. they themselves barely promote those things.. just sell um to dumb people who are like oo sweet a sub!..

I don't think it's worth it at $200+, however, that's based upon purely the price. Highly doubt most of us can tell you the quality of the woofer

I had one on my MR2 and its not bad for low volume music, but once you turn up the bass you can really hear it strain. you could produce better bass if you stomped on the floorboards.
visit your local junkyard and find one cheaper and should be in great shape since its hidden under the seat.

Thumbs up Move it on up !

The basic principal of a sub woofer is displacement of air thats why

everyone puts them in the boot, now unless you've got haemmeroids that need a "gentle"

massaging, under the seat IMHO is a total waste of time...

for under 200 bucks you could get an aftermarket amp+sub+install combo that would pound your car pretty nice (probably no good sq tho)- and as long as the amp has hi/low pass filters, it doesn't matter if you're planning on running an aftermarket deck or keeping your stock one

Toyota retails them at about $300 or so. But that doesnt mean that subwoofer is a good deal.

Dont get it. Everyone is right. You will waste your money. You could get two 8" Subs and make a shortbox underneath each seat. then have a amp in the trunk. That would sound better than that crap that toyota puts out.

And Toyota Trunks are big enought anyway. Just get a Single 12" and amp combo for $200 and throw it back there.
