New NAPA radiatior (Modine) leaks!!

The top tank on the factory rad developed a crack. I didn't want to pay for a factory Toyota rad but I still wanted quality so I bought the best rad NAPA had. Modine brand. Looked good, everything fit perfectly. Did new hoses too.

Two weeks ago I see coolant on the ground. Not much, but a 4" wet spot on pavement. Looks like lower rad hose clamp is leaking. Put new clamp on hose. Still leaks.

I think the seal between the lowertank and the core is leaking. What are the odds of getting a bad rad?

Anybody have any experience with NAPA on returns?

their radiators should be life- time warranty.. get your reciept, maybe drive over to them and show them. or take it out and take it back.

If you return it just "because you don't want it" i think there's a fee. Make sure you tell them it's defective.

I didn't know there were different brands...when my brother's cam got a leak, i bought the replacement oem type...works just fine to this day ...i replaced it back in 01 or 02.
