***attention force fed cars with afr sensors

This will work with any vehicle that has afr sensors rather than O2 sensors. For chaps that have added either s/c or turbo to a normally aspirated cars this mod will drastically improve light to moderate throttle responsive. It was released only recently and is already back ordered. I received this info from Gadget, read on and see if this is for you. I am excited about it!! Peace and have fun~

First, the AFR Sensor Signal Calibrator only works on vehicles with the
new style Air/Fuel Ratio (wideband) sensors. It will not work on
vehicles with the old style O2 sensors in the front position, forward
of the cat(s).

The AFR Sensor Signal Calibrator is used to calibrate the signal from
the AFR sensor and in doing so you can change the mixture that the ECU
thinks is 14.7:1.

We use the R4 Tuning Software to program the box. Map values of 10 are
neutral and values higher then 10 lean the mix, and values of less then
10 richen the mix.

Each vehicle type will require very differnet numbers to obtain the same
mix. For example the 5vz requires a number of 6 to give you 12.0:1
while the newer 1gr-fe requires a 9.6. We ship the boxes with a
preloaded map for use with the supercharged 5vz with our fuel kit.
Other vehicles or combinations may need adjustment to the map table to
give the result you want.

The tuning proceedure is to install the rest of your fuel system, like
one of our complete kits and get the tune in the ball park with the
fuel trims at least close to being cancled in CLOSED LOOP to where you
want the mix in OPEN LOOP. Now install the AFR Calibrator box.

Use the AFR Sensor Calibrator to adjust the mixture to where you want it
in CLOSED LOOP while in boost. Use the wideband display unit for this.
Once you are satisfied that you have it where you want the mix in CLOSED
LOOP, then go back to your MAF Sensor Calibrator and retune it, again
cancelling fuel trims in closed loop. You will find that your fuel
trims are now very postive in the range that the AFR Sensor Calibrator
is calibrating the signal from the AFR sensors. Once you have those
trims cancelled out, then retune OPEN LOOP.

You will most likely find that your OPEN LOOP will need slight
adjustment because CLOSED LOOP fuel trims do have some affect on OPEN
LOOP.

Remember that what ever values you input into the map table do not take
affect until you write them to the box. You will find that setting the
mix in CLOSED LOOP with the AFR Calibrator is very simple and can be
done very quickly. If you don't have this thing dialed in in less then
20 minutes you are doing something very wrong.

The nice thing is that this thing and the results you get are very
precise and they are very repeatable. You will find that the mix is
dead on all the time just like you set it and does not vary a little
like the MAF calibrators will.

Remember this is for CLOSED LOOP tuning. Many people have some
impression that it does both CLOSED and OPEN LOOP. It only does CLOSED
LOOP. It is best used in conjunction with a MAF Sensor Calibrator like
our PSC units or FTC units.
