Winter tires and rims, will 14" work on '99 LE V6?

Winter will be coming to the Peg soon enough and I'd like to get a set of winter tires on their own set of rims.

14" tires are a good bit cheaper than 15" and who cares what my wheels look like in winter, right?

So, will 14" steel rims off non V6 Camrys work on the V6 model?
I saw another thread where someone was trying the other way around (15" onto a I4) and it didn't work because of the difference in brakes.

not too sure....but the calipers may not clear?

I remember seeing stock 15" alloys on the gen 3 front wheels, and the calipers look like they barely clear.....I don't know exactly though, as my stock wheels were steelies, so I couldn't see shit

i doubt they will fit, i have about 5mm of clearence behind my stock 15" steelies.

the calipers for the i4 are furthout outwards to fit in the protruding gap of the stock 14" wheel, this is why they dont fit is200/is300 wheels becuase you end up hitting the back of the spoke.

I've got my Camry in a bud's heated garage for some modding and I bought a single 14" rim for a test.
No, 14" rims don't fit on a V6 Gen 4 Camry.
So I guess it's expensive winter tires for me.
