ECU Question ?????

I have a question on ECU chip. A friend of mine told me that i should reset the ECU chip bcause I change my intake, and also I use to kill my 94 camry V6 by put it in nutral and drpo it on sec and I think the 5th time i did that ma car just stop n start goin slow at first gear. Now my car have no more pick up. Is it possible that I can fix it by reset the ECU chip??
I post a quetion once already bout ECU chip and I got a reponse that I just need to take out the Neg Battery and turn on the light for couple second and put it back on... does thisi reallly work or I can can reset it by removing it and put it back. If i can where can i locate it ???

nope ur tranny is basically dead when there's no pick up that just means its not goin into first gear anymore u have killed ur transmission officially now its time for you to get a transmission transplant hehehe if u need help with that just pm me im more than happy to help u out...

as for resetting the ecu for the intake and stuff.. no need... the camry's ecu is made to adapt to watever u got so no problems there... also the tranny itself has its own ecu... u ahve an electronic transmission not mechanical so repairs on that transmission is mad expensive.. almost the same price as gettin a transplant to 5spd!!!

humpty

Well, as scepter said, you shouldn't have to worry about the ECU and resetting it to adjust or anything, cuz if all you have is an intake, it can adapt to it, since it's hardly even a change to the way your car works, and about the transmission...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......

Sorry, man.....but doing neutral drops is just plain stupid....there've been many a discussions on how doing them will affect a car's transmission...and you're the living proof.... :

go do a tranny swap....

Well even if it's 3 years ago the damage is still there, I'm sure you know a car won't heal by itself.

Forget about fixing, one member here had already fully rebuilt his tranny and it still have problems. Better go replace it instead.
