Question difference in headlights?

Ok so is it going to make any difference in my lighting (better or worse) going from this>>

To this>>>

And if the pics dont work its going from the original headlight to the clear lenses?
I mean whats the point in putting all the grooves in the headlight to begin with? I am under impression it makes the light direct downward at the road and ifI go clear it will afect my ability to see the road as good without projectors. Anyone know?

Basically the two head units are doing the same thing/ job....the first one--basically stocks use the grooves and stuff on the lense to direct light to the right places on the road.

the second one the so called "racing " heads used rear reflectors to direct light to where it's needed on the road.

without either system, the lights would go every which way...up, down , left, right....and you don't want that, you want it focused on the road and not on the eyes of on coming traffic.

people here clear their heaht lights but that's ususally because they are getting HIDs or what not--projecotrs.

it's more on tastes...pick the one you like.

There will be no difference in output between the two types (assuming you're comparing new vs. new). If your stocks are all yellowed out and cloudy, well... that's not really a comparison then. I had relatively new fluted types before I installed the clear ones. Not output difference whatsoever that I could notice.

i would think the clear lense ones would emit more light. that texture certainly blocks light

I noticed a huge difference... then again, my stock ones were nasty yellow and cracked. but I still prefer the clear ones, especially if you are going to do some sort of HID in the future. I mean cmon, which looks cooler

or

I say clear, I think they look cooler :p

thats what I was thinkin. Someone told me tho without the grooves in the glass it would just emit a big glow instead of beams of light tward the road but I know they make stock clear headlights on new cars with the mirrors behind the light to direct it.

My stock ones right now are SLIGHTLY yellowed and I just think it looks like ass. Those clear ones give the front end more agressive of a look and I have these bulbs in that change 5 different colors so I think they would be pretty bad ass. They are pink on top, blue next, purple next then yellow then white. It looks REALLY good with my stock nasty head lights.
