3rd Generation Camry seats

I have a '96 Camry and have upgraded the suspension and engine, so now it runs and handles great. The last problem I am dealing with is staying in my seat. The seats in the 96 are very flat. Even hurts my lower back after driving for a while.

Are there other years that fit the stock bolt holes in the floor and are close in color to the Oak (tanish) that I have that have bolusters on the backs and seat bottoms? Even my wife's 2000 has more to keep me in the seat than my 96.

Any ideas of models or other years would be helpful.

Thanks!
Steve

well... all you REALLY need to get it to fit right is brackets, you can make them or get them made and welded in

Corolla fx16, huh???? What years?

edit: I just checked with the Toyota parts catalog. The corolla FX was only made 87 and 88...and the only seat colors were charcoal and dark blue. Not exactly a match for my Oak interior.

Look at other Camry seats too. What trim is yours? Mine were different from my friends car. His had way more adjustment than my car, and bigger bolsters.

And as a tip, push your left foot onto the dead pedal when cornering to help you stay in place.

As I mentioned already, even my wife's 2000 Camry has better seats. I didn't think other Gen3's would be much different than mine. I have the LE trim. Is it the XLE trim for a Gen3 I should be looking at?

now a smart man would have PM'd me on this one Steve... I have a set of the velour bucket seats out of a Gen3 if you want em....backseat too, out of an SE Gen3. Very comfy and not an easy find for a camry. Now, if you want to up the ante, going with aftermarket seats simply boils down to taking the lower halves of the rails off, and taking strips of metal and bolting them onto the lower rails. Once you have that done, you just put the new seat and slider on those strips. Problem solved. PM me if you want the seats, we deliver homie, and we have pics of them.
