Dealer wants a fortune to program my remote.. I ordered one off of ebay.. Fcc bab237131-022 for my 97 camry le american edition... The problem I am having is that my red security light on the dash is always on.. Its on when im driving and on when the car is off. I held the green button on the ecu and the light stays on and nothing happens... Is there anyway to reset the system? A fuse or something that will turn the led light off so I can program the remote? Any help would be great.. Thanks

Check out the Camry FAQ at the top of the thread page. It has the manual for the security system, but I'm not sure if it is for the RS-3000 or 3200.

If I replace the ECU under the seat with one from a junkyard will it still be compatible with my system? Or do I need to order one from the dealer.
